Standards for Mathematical Practice and the Science & Engineering Practices Part One: Developmental Progressions
Presented by Sara Delano Moore, Ph. D., Director of Mathematics and Science at ETA hand2mind

The Standards for Mathematical Practice and the Science & Engineering Practices have much in common.  Our summer three-part webinar mini-series, we will explore these connections and their implications for instruction, in science, in mathematics, and in integrated STEM experiences.  In both cases, the practices are a single list reflecting grades K-12.

In our community’s June webinar, Dr. Sara Delano Moore will kick off our summer series with a discussion of the idea of developmental progressions in the practices. She also will address strategies for supporting the practices at various grade levels.   Teachers at every level can support improved student thinking by integrating these practices into their current instruction.  Join Sara on June 24th to learn about strategies for increasing student thinking through the practices.
